Concrete Calculator — Common Questions
Everything you need to know about concrete pricing in Sydney.
How accurate is this concrete price calculator?
The calculator uses current Sydney Metro supplier rates benchmarked against Boral, Holcim, and Hanson (last updated April 2026). It provides a reliable estimate for planning purposes. The final price is confirmed after a free site inspection.
Does the price include GST?
Yes — the calculator displays both the subtotal excluding GST and the total including 10% GST.
What does a 40m² concrete driveway cost in Sydney?
A standard 40m² driveway using N25 concrete, broom finish, and mesh reinforcement costs approximately $5,700–$6,200 including GST in the metro zone.
What concrete grade do I need for a driveway?
N25 is standard for residential driveways. N32 is recommended for heavy vehicles, trucks, or caravans. The calculator auto-suggests the right grade when you select your service type.
How thick should a concrete driveway be?
Standard residential driveways: 100mm. Heavy duty (trucks, caravans): 125–150mm. Paths: 75mm. The calculator defaults to the recommended thickness for each service type.
Do I need a concrete pump?
A pump is needed when the mixer truck can't park within 4–5 metres of the pour area. Common on sloped blocks, narrow driveways, and backyard jobs. Pump hire adds $950–$1,450.
